Wierd Ways of Mixing Foods Together
This is my personal list. You may think it’s gross. But then, post your list & I may think it’s gross. So whatever, it’s a fun way to get food ideas.
- sour cream & onion potatoe chips with PLAIN yoghurt as a dip. I got this one from my mother. I grew up on this. Great way to get yoghurt in your body, an easy snack, and it really does fill you up. My favorite is Utz chips & Dannon Nonfat Plain yoghurt.
- banana with peanut butter. I prefer non-ripe bananas, when their still greenish. And my favorite peanut butter (and I’m a PB-frrreak) is Jif’s Simply creamy pb.
- crackers w/chocolate eclair ice cream bars. I got this trick in high school. Wait till the bar melts a bit, then cut it & scoop it with the cracker. The best.
- fluffinutters. (marshmallow spread & pb sandwiches). Also from high school. I thought it was pretty well known but I guess it’s not.
- diy chocolate ice cream. Well not totally DIY. If you’re a chocoholic like me, and there’s only vanilla (or vanilla-based) ice cream available, just add a big-ass tablespoon of pure cocoa to it and MIX (this may take a while but it’s worth it). Once the powder is in there, you will have the BEST CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM you’ve ever had.
Will post more when I remember them…
